The library's mission directly supports Cross and Crown's mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, nurture all members, and reach out to serve the community. Each part of our mission statement is intended to help the church carry out part of its overall mission.

A collection policy helps a library fulfill its mission. Every library has just so much space, money, and people with limited amounts of time. It's important to use those resources in the most effective way possible, and collection policies provide guidelines that enable libraries to focus on providing the resources that meet the needs of their communities. They can also help people interested in donating to the library get ideas about what kinds of things might be most useful. If you have any questions or comments about our policy, please let me know!

Chicken Soup!

Thanks to a generous donation we now have several Chicken Soup for the Soul books for kids and teens available in the library! Find them on the new book rack or on the high school and elementary school shelves.

Our wish list

Thanks for your responses to the library survey! Based on your interests so far, I've started a wish list with some books on subjects our members are interested in. These have all received very good reviews both in church librarians' newsletters and from Amazon customers. If you're interested in donating to the church library, check out the wish list under "Reading and Resource Lists" for ideas. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to the Cross and Crown Lutheran Church Library!

Welcome to our library's new website! It's still very much a work in progress, but for now a couple of things are included:

• A list of resources for dealing with grief and loss. These are all available at KCLS and have been recommended by other church librarians. We'll add more reading and resource lists in the future.
• Find it in our library! Click on any of the words to find books in our church library in that subject. Only a few books are included right now, but the rest will be added over time.
